Need to add some error trapping to try and prevent awkward data causing typeadmin to fail. Typically this can occur in customised typeadmin screens where the column data being displayed is unexpected eg. a NULL when it expects a date.
Due to preferences being stored in session, a breakage of this type keeps the admin area locked out until the users session expires.
