FarCry Core Framework

FCK Editor not looking correct in IE

Created: 16/Feb/06 02:12 PM   Updated: 20/Mar/06 05:14 PM
Component/s: Webtop Admin UI
Affects Version/s: FarCry 3.0
Fix Version/s: 3.0.1

Time Tracking:

Environment: CF7 Windows IIS MSSQL Server

 Description  « Hide
Taken from excerpts from the Group.

Why make all the admins work with Firefox and NOT IE? I mean
they work with IE but the formatting is all off... when using FCK
editor... I have to scroll a full page down before I can see the
editor... When using tinyMCE there is 3 inches of space. Plus the
insert images/file section is all out of wack. I know developers love
firefox, and everyone hates Microsoft, but the fact is, 90% of normal
everyday users USE IE... so why build something that ignores the needs
of the majority of users? Everything looks great and works fine in
Firefox, simply out of wack in IE... anyone else see this?

Response from Geoff
"The IE whitespace is a known issue that I believe has already been fixed
in the maintenance branch. You might try one of the nightly p300
builds.. they are pretty stable. "

My Response

>anything larger than what my users will have so I need it to work on
>small screens as well... I can take a screen shot how do I get it to
>you?

I'm unable to reproduce this in the p300 branch. I sent David an email to see if the issue still exists for him. I'm thinking someone fixed it and didn't log the work.

I'm unable to reproduce this issue in the p300 branch in IE or Firefox.
